#5 Ogami Developer Update
Greetings!
A lot happened since our last Ogami Developer Update in April. We launched our website, released our new whitepaper as well as our litepaper, and pivoted and decided to build on top of our own IP.
In case you missed our statement, make sure to read it here:

We finally launched our new website! It took longer than expected but we’re happy with the final result. We hope you like it too. Here’s the link: https://ogamiconquest.io/
Alongside the new website, we launched our new whitepaper as well as the litepaper, which is a less text-heavy and light version of the whitepaper.
Feel free to leave us your feedback after you read it!
Pre-Alpha Map Showcase (WIP)
In our second devlog, during the earlier stages of Ogami Conquest, we presented a concept map where we used mainly third party assets. We mentioned that we started working on a more sophisticated map which we will use for the demo video as well as the Pre-Alpha. The map is suited for up to 6 players, meaning a 3vs3. It features a single lane, a top-side jungle as well as a bot-side jungle. Currently, the bases are yet to be done. The map layout is an original design such as the assets being used. We will be uploading a 2D version of the map layout in our Discord.
Technical Progress
In the last devlog, we discussed strong architecture and loosely coupled design. So, now foundations are built and we have already started building high and beautiful structures over it. In this devlog, we will discuss two crucial gameplay features which we have implemented and are testing.
Target Priority System
Help and ITC "Inter Communication
Target Priority System: For any type of character whether it’s a Kodari, Ogami, etc., attacking the right target is very important for MOBA gameplay mechanics. We have created a dynamic system where we can easily shuffle the priority list and impact the gameplay. This ability will also be helpful to change target properties on run time or may be as per levels. It will definitely make the game more interesting and challenging.
Help and Intercommunication: Dynamic target priority is very handy but what if your Kodari needs help against attackers? So, here comes the ITC or "Inter Communication" system. The ITC keeps track of each and every type of character in the game. It also knows which character belongs to which team. You could basically say ITC is the in-game hotline for characters. If a character is in trouble, it can just send a help signal to ITC and reinforcements are on your way.
Ogami Mage NFT Collection
The Ogami Mage NFTs are a collection of 10,000 generative Avatars. These are not the actual playable and breedable NFTs, those are the Kodari.
They are the VIP ticket into the Ogamiverse. Holders will get the first-ever Kodari NFTs as an airdrop.
Ogami Mages will be stakeable for $OGM tokens, and holders will be eligible for future $OGM as well as Kodari NFT cosmetics airdrops. They will have access to the Pre-Alpha of Ogami Conquest and can be used as Avatars in the game.
The minting of the Ogami Mage Collection will happen in three phases.
First, we will give out 200 Early Bird whitelists, where the mint will be free of charge (+gas). Around half of the Early Birds will be given out to the community in form of giveaways, contests, and events. The remaining Early Bird/OG spots will be given to individual people by us.
Shortly after the Early Bird/OG mint, the Whitelist Sale with a price of 0.05 ETH per NFT will follow. Whitelisted wallets will be able to mint a maximum of 5 NFTs.
The Public Sale will follow shortly after the Whitelist Sale with a price of 0.08 ETH per NFT. The Ogami Mage Collection will be minted on Polygon.
You are interested in a Private Sale whitelist spot? The first 5 people to join our Discord and type “#Devlog5” into the general chat will get a whitelist spot!
That’s it for today’s Ogami Developer Update. See you on the next one!
